Important Information about changes to Men’s Club!
There will no longer be yearly dues.
Every man in our congregation is now automatically a member of Men’s Club.
For all you do to support our synagogue, we THANK YOU!
We only ask that you volunteer when asked, participate in the many programs and events, enjoy davening and learning together and getting to know each other better and that together we build a strong congregational community. Strengthen our community, build camaraderie, support our cause…volunteer for one of the various Men’s Club projects!
Yellow Candle Project
The Yellow CandleTM was created in 1981 by Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs in order to keep alive the memory of the Six Million who perished in the Shoah. The Candle is modeled after a traditional Jewish memorial Yahrzeit candle that burns for 24 hours during periods of mourning, and on the Yahrzeit anniversary of a family member. The candle’s yellow wax serves to remind us of the yellow arm band which Jews were forced to wear during the Nazi regime.
In the next few weeks, Beth El volunteers will prepare Yellow Candle packages for pickup by or mailing to all member families.
