Led by Rabbi Abraham
Join Rabbi Abraham on Tuesday afternoons or Wednesday evenings for his class: A Wisdom Tradition – based on topics covered in Jewish Wisdom: Ethical, Spiritual, and Historical Lessons from the Great Works and Thinkers by Rabbi Joseph Telushkin. Participants are invited to attend either a luncheon class at Whole Foods on Tuesdays or a dinner session at Beth El on Wednesday evenings following minyan at the synagogue. The subject on both meeting days will be the same.
In Jewish Wisdom, Rabbi Telushkin looks at difficult questions such as: “Is it ever ok to lie?”, “When to give and when not give Tzedakah”, “Are we commanded to love our enemies” and many more. We will use Rabbi Telushkin’s book as a jumping off point to look at issues facing our family and friends in 2017.
Students are responsible for purchasing their own copy of Jewish Wisdom. Click here to purchase your book through Amazon.
Wednesday classes will be from 6:15 – 7:30 pm at Beth El following evening minyan. The cost is $54, and Beth El will provide dinner to participant. Class will be held on the following dates:
All adult education classes are open to the entire community.
