“More than the Jewish People have kept the Sabbath, the Sabbath has kept the Jews.” – Ahad Ha’am
Celebrating Shabbat is central to living a Jewish life. We are so happy to give you numerous opportunities to come with your family and be part of our congregation. We are blessed to have a wonderful group of little ones that are our newest and most important members of Beth El Synagogue. We want each one of our Pre-Schoolers to feel like Beth El is their home and we want them to feel extremely comfortable in the building. That being said, we are offering wonderful Shabbat programs for your toddlers and pre-school aged children and for the entire family.
Each Tot/Family Shabbat session will include either a PreNeg preceding services or a dinner following services. Those sessions with a PreNeg will begin at 5:30 pm and those sessions that begin with services followed by dinner will begin at 6 pm. Those attending dinner will need to register in advance. Please visit www.bethel-omaha.org for updated information throughout the year.
Still want more?
Mini-Minannaires: PreK – Grade 2 Saturdays from 10:45-11:15 am
Who doesn’t want to become a Shabbat regular at Beth El? We love seeing so many young children here every week and want them to know that Beth El is their home. We would like to provide an educational experience for your preschoolers while they are in the baby-sitting room. Organized and run by parents along with the expert babysitting staff, we will tell stories, learn blessings, sing songs and be part of and participate in the main service. We would like to encourage you to bring your kids of all ages and start to make it a regular part of your week by spending Shabbat morning with us. Anyone interested in joining this awesome new group please contact Eadie Tsabari.
