– Operation Isaiah

jewishfamilyservice

Donations Accepted for Operation Isaiah
September 5 – 29

Each Yom Kippur, it has become a Beth El Synagogue tradition to heed Isaiah’s message to feed the hungry:

This is my chosen fast…
Share your bread with the hungry.
Take the homeless into your home.
Clothe the naked when you see him,
Do not turn away from people in need.
(Isaiah 58:6-7)

Again this year, we will be collecting non-perishable food and gently-used clothing to be distributed to the needy during the entire month of Elul. Bins will be in the community court beginning on Tuesday, September 5 up to and including the evening of Kol Nidre services on Friday, September 29.
