Members of the Social Action Committee
Beth El congregants are working together to make a difference in our community. Here are some great ways to get involved:
- Nebraska AIDS Project – Baked Goods
Next Scheduled Date: Friday, October 25, 2019
Joan Marcus serves lunch once a month at the Nebraska AIDS Project, and she needs baked goods for dessert. Contact Joan if you can help.
- Stephen Center – Cooking and Serving Dinner
Next Scheduled Date: Sunday, December 29, 2019
We’ll cook and serve dinner at the Stephen Center, 2723 Q Street. Space is limited, so advance registration is required; Contact M’Lee Hasslinger to register.
- Operation Grateful Goodies – Baking and/or Delivering Baked Goods
December 2019
Volunteers will bake. package and/or deliver home-baked goods to police officers, fire fighters, hospital staff and employees of the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home on Christmas. Click here to learn more.
- Habitat for Humanity
Upcoming dates TBA
Volunteering with Habitat for Humanity is one of the highest levels of tzedakah. Even if you have never swung a hammer, put in drywall or painted a room, don’t let that stop you from helping us make an impact on lives in our community. Click on the link(s) above to register.
- Mishloach Manot Delivery

- Welcoming the Stranger
